Capturing Renewed Elegance: Our Third Shoot at Tribe Phnom Penh Post Office Square
As an Accor Approved Photographer in Southeast Asia, we recently completed our third photography assignment at the beautifully renovated Tribe Phnom Penh Post Office Square. This case study explores how our specialized hotel photography services helped showcase the property’s recent transformations designed to attract a new target demographic.

Project Overview
- Client: Tribe Phnom Penh Post Office Square (ACCOR Brand)
- Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
- Duration: 2-day comprehensive shoot
- Objective: Create compelling visual assets highlighting recent renovations and appealing to a new market segment
The Renovation Challenge
The Tribe Phnom Penh Post Office Square underwent significant renovations to reposition itself in the market. Our challenge was to capture these changes while accurately representing the spaces and creating imagery that would resonate with their new target audience.
Key Renovation Areas
Our Photography Approach
As experienced hotel photographers, we developed a shooting strategy that prioritized both aesthetic appeal and practical representation of each space. Our goal was to create images that would drive bookings while accurately portraying the hotel’s offerings.
Meeting Spaces & Private Dining
We began with the newly renovated meeting facilities, capturing multiple configurations to showcase the room’s versatility:
- Round table setup
- Classroom arrangement
- U-shaped configuration
- Theatre-style seating
- Combined full-room layout
The meeting room’s industrial-modern design features glass doors on both sides, offering stunning views of the Tonle Sap River while allowing abundant natural light. This presented both opportunities and challenges for our photography.
For the private dining area, we highlighted the intimate enclosed space featuring a long table that accommodates 10-14 guests, with the open kitchen visible in the background—showcasing both exclusivity and culinary craftsmanship.

The private dining area combines elegance with culinary theater, offering an exclusive experience for small groups
Technical Challenges Overcome
As architectural photographers, we encountered several technical hurdles:

Absolutely thrilled with the exceptional service
His professionalism and friendliness made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. Bruce exceeded all expectations and captured the essence of our hotel rooms with his keen eye for detail and creativity. Not only was he a pleasure to work with, but the final photos exceeded our expectations.
Guest Rooms & Specialty Accommodations
Previous photography may have misrepresented the true size of the guest rooms. Our mission was to capture both double and twin rooms in a way that accurately portrays their spaciousness without exaggeration.
Honeymoon Package Focus
To support the hotel’s new marketing initiative targeting couples (including local residents), we created specialized imagery of a suite configured for honeymoon packages. These images were specifically designed to appeal to this lucrative market segment.

The honeymoon suite setup combines luxury and romance, appealing to both international and local couples
Public Spaces Transformation
New Ground Floor Reception
The relocation of the reception area to the ground floor created a more welcoming arrival experience. Our photography emphasized this improved guest journey, highlighting the convenience and accessibility of the new configuration.
Common Ground Restaurant
This newly developed restaurant space represents a significant enhancement to the property’s amenities. We completely rearranged the space to capture optimal angles that showcase:
- The inviting atmosphere
- Exceptional F&B presentation
- The overall aesthetic appeal
Our expertise in resort photography allowed us to quickly and effectively style the space to present it in its best light.

The “Million-Dollar” Pool Shot
The final phase of our shoot focused on creating a standout pool image—what we call the “million-dollar shot.” This signature image was designed to be immediately eye-catching in online listings and marketing materials, attracting the hotel’s desired new clientele.

Results & Implementation
The comprehensive image collection delivered to Tribe Phnom Penh Post Office Square provides them with versatile assets for:
- MICE marketing collateral
- Website redesign

As interior photographers specializing in hospitality, we successfully balanced technical excellence with promotional impact, creating images that both accurately represent the property and compel potential guests to book.

Our deep understanding of hospitality marketing, combined with technical photography expertise, allows us to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional imagery that performs in the digital marketplace.
